Main duties

Responsible for managing and overseeing our Loading Bay Installation Projects collaborating with the office-based teams and engineers.

Main duties

Responsible for overseeing and managing assigned Installation and removals of Loading Bay Products including (but not limited to) Sectional Doors, Roller Shutters, High Speed Doors, Dock Levellers, Loading Houses, Scissor Lifts, Vehicle Restraints, Control Panels, Dock Seals / Shelters, Traffic Lights, Wheel Guides, Buffers and ancillary equipment.
Take full responsibility for assigned works and delivery of profit margin.
Management of Protean assigned job lists.
To work with the back-office team and the assigned coordinator of your assigned projects
Work with HOD on major client replacement roll out programmes
Offsite pre project commencement liaison to allow efficient launch of projects – including delivery schedules, review/confirmation of parts to be delivered, programme of works for the project.
Work with purchasing to achieve sign off of project product
Monthly update to Department Manager on performance and delivery of projects including job margin and adherence to scope.
Effectively manage projects and the assigned installation team(s)
Effectively manage the client / end user / FBS assigned contractor’s / principal contractor on site
Responsible for standards and compliance being followed on site.
Responsible for managing all plant and equipment from delivery to off hire.
Provide support where required to the installation teams in the field.

Purpose of the role:

You will be fully experienced Gate and Barrier engineer who can apply your knowledge to the installation maintenance and servicing of a wide range of systems located nationwide.

Proven experience working on gates and barriers within a commercial environment

Willing to travel nationally as required, and happy to stay away from home overnight
Full drivers licence
Additional experience in Industrial Doors and Loading Bays would be advantageous, but is not essential
