When did you first start working at Fen-Bay?

Why did you choose to work at Fen-Bay and what is your favourite part about working here?

An injury forced me off the tools and into office work. I was however looking for the next step up in terms of progression in my career and Fen-bay were willing to offer me that opportunity. The best part about working for Fen-Bay is the team of people from office staff to engineers – all of them! We are a tight team and all pull together when needed, its like working with friends.

What position did you join the company as and what position/job title do you hold now?

I joined as admin for the installation team booking hotels and plant and progressed to installation coordinator, senior installation coordinator and now internal projects coordinator so there is chance for progression if you apply yourself.

Has your role changed since you’ve been here and have you had any promotions during your time working with fen bay?

Fen-bay will help you to achieve and are keen to progress anyone who shows drive and ambition. It’s a tough, fast paced and busy environment but its very rewarding.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The people I work with. Without the team we have, the closeness, the hard work, the knuckling down it wouldn’t be half the job it is. It’s rare to find such a good group of people that all gel together to work with.

What skills or attributes do you need to be good at your job?

A quick thinker, a problem solver, like a challenge, strong minded, quick witted and above all want to succeed and achieve results.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to work in a similar role to yours?

Simple as ‘just go for it’ do not doubt yourself and what you can do. Be firm with yourself, deal with one thing at a time and prioritise your work and you will smash it and if you have a rough day theres always tomorrow to bounce back.

How much training have you had access to and what type of training?

Fen-Bay are constantly offering training and courses to help you within your role. If you want to progress then Fen-Bay will do everything they can to help.

Does this company differ from others that you have worked for?

Yes, the team work as I keep mentioning is a league above anywhere else I have ever worked. The support you receive is spot on and there is always somebody there to help you if you need it. It’s a very supportive work place.
