Finance Manager

Hours: 42.5 Hrs basic
Area: Office Based Role – Welbourn, Lincolnshire
Salary: Competitive depending upon experience

Fen-Bay Services are pleased to be able to offer a new position within the rapidly growing company of Finance Manager.

The Role:
The Finance Manager will manage all aspects of the nominal ledger and the Business transactions on a day to day basis, to allow the Head of Finance to report to the shareholders.

  • Responsible for supervising the individual ledger clerks to ensure the finance department is kept up to date and ledgers are kept within credit terms.
  • Responsible for the recording and reconciliation of all bank accounts, fuel card and credit cards. Ensuring that full records of invoices are retained.
  • Feeding into cashflow forecast the expected wage, VAT and PAYE dues.
  • Management and full reporting of VAT, PAYE and CIS returns, along with the associated payments. (Including Irish VAT returns)
  • Compilation of wages complete, with non-tax deductions for onward submission to the payroll bureau. Physical payment of wages in a timely considered manner to employees, with employees queries dealt with as required.
  • Reconciliation and review of all nominal ledgers, to allow the head of finance to report in a timely manner to shareholders/directors.

You must be organised, have excellent attention to detail and able to manage your workload effectively. Being able to ‘think on your feet’ you will be able to use your initiative to adapt quickly to any change of situations, keeping a calm temperament. Additionally, you should be able to develop key relationships, working effectively as an individual and as well as part of the team. The ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential and an engineering background would be desirable.  A role within team management would be an advantage alongside working in an engineering environment.

Personal Specification:

  • Qualified/Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and with the ability to supervise personnel.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills, including advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.

Business Administrator

Hours: 42.5 Hrs basic
Area: Office Based Role – Welbourn, Lincolnshire

We currently have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Business Administrator to join our growing team at Fen-Bay Services. We are seeking a permanent, full time Business Administrator to join our team based at our Welbourn site.

The Role:
The Business Administrator will report to the Operations Director.  We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic individual to support our busy team and will undertake the following duties: –

  • Co-ordinating and manager our fleet of vehicles– including sourcing additional vehicles, service and maintenance, livery and accident reporting of our fleet
  • Managing our mobile phone network, spend and new numbers and the associated hardware
  • Monitoring insurance policies and administrating insurance claims
  • Ensuring the office is functioning in a safe manner
  • Completion of customer questionnaires and management of accreditations
  • Onboarding new subcontractors, ensuring all appropriate insurances and training certification is present

The Role:
The Installations Coordinator will report to the Installations Manager.  Key to the success of our operation is a knowledgeable, professional and well organised Installation team.  Therefore, we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic individual to support our busy team and will undertake the following duties: –

  • Co-ordinating Installation Engineers to meet the demanding quality and delivery requirement.
  • Preparing Health and Safety documentation/Risk Method Statements
  • Updating, supporting and communicating installation work requirements to internal and external customers and deal with enquires promptly.
  • Planning and scheduling of engineers for all installations.
  • Arranging plant & machinery to site.
  • Ensuring all parts and products are appropriately sourced, despatched and received by the Installation Team.
  • Promote a strong health and safety work ethic.
  • Ensure that jobs are closed and passed through to invoicing department.
  • Ensure that installations are delivered to time and cost budget.

  • Co-ordinating Call-Out Engineers to meet the demanding quality and service requirement.

Automatic Gate and Barrier Engineer – National based

Hours: 42.5 Hrs basic + Overtime as required
Area: National
Salary: Negotiable + Phone and Vehicle

The Role:
You will be fully experienced Gate and Barrier engineer who can apply your knowledge to the installation maintenance and servicing of a wide range of systems located nationwide.

The Skillset:
. Proven experience working on gates and barriers within a commercial environment
. Strong electrical abilities
. Fully conversant in latest regulations
. Willing to travel nationally as required, and happy to stay away from home overnight
. Full drivers licence
. Additional experience in Industrial Doors and Loading Bays would be advantageous, but is not essential

Welder/Fabricator

Following recent growth, we require a skilled Welder/Fabricator with good mechanical competence. The successful applicant would join a small, busy team working on a range of equipment including industrial automated gates, industrial doors, scissor lifts, dock levellers and other loading bay equipment.

The role is varied with a range of work types from new manufacture through to repairs and refurbishment.
The team works to tight deadlines whilst having to meet clear quality and finish standards. All equipment leaving the workshop must be fit for purpose and sufficiently durable for the demanding environment in which it will be used.

The Role:
• High quality fabrication and welding – MIG/MMA
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly/disassembly of equipment
• Use of workshop machine tools
• Assisting with acceptance of deliveries and despatch of equipment
• Assisting with effective stock control of materials
• Taking an active role in maintaining the workshop as a clean and safe workplace

Essential skills required:
• Welding – MIG and NMA with a proven ability to weld to high standards
• Full current driving licence
• Mechanical engineering background
• Experience within a busy workshop environment
• Able to interpret and work accurately to engineering drawings

Desirable skills:
• Telehandler or Fork Lift Licence
• Experience and knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Experience and knowledge of LV electrical systems
• Experience and knowledge of control systems

Hours: Full time – 42.5 hours per week to include evenings and weekends.
The hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.
